Happy new year everyone! Yes, I'm a little late to the new year party but better late than never! I was really busy over the winter break with the kids and also one of the things I have decided to do in 2022 is write a novel so I have gotten really into that and not been out and about too much. Mind you, the weather has been perfect for staying in and writing with all the rain we've had lately.
This Winter Break we did a few new activities that you might be interested in:
First of all, we went on a Desert Camp with Adventure Khobar. This was a day camp although we were able to stay the night if we wanted and bought our own equipment. They put on games, a bonfire and we got to do some sand sledding and see camels (Including supercute baby ones!). It was a lot of fun, brilliant value for money and we all really enjoyed it.
Another activity that we tried out was City Bike on Khobar Corniche. This was actually such a lovely day out for me and the kids. We hired a family bike for me and my youngest girls and my 10-year-old son whizzed around on an electric scooter. It was really easy and the guys that work there were very helpful. City Bike is perfectly located on the most scenic part of the corniche (in my opinion) and after our bike hire, we walked up to Mizo Island Restaurant for lunch stopping at the play areas on the way.
A great restaurant we tried was Bonzai Japanese Grill and Restaurant at Ithra in Dhahran. It was pricey but really such an amazing experience, beautiful aesthetic, and really good food. My whole family loved it.
How about you? I hope you all had a wonderful start to the new year and of course, I'm wishing you all happiness, health, and many adventures in 2022.
So a new year means new places to see for me! I have a few places in mind that I really can't wait to visit this year but I would love your ideas, suggestions, and invites as usual so don't forget to keep in touch on Instagram and TikTok. I would love to hear the best place you went to or the best activity you did in Saudi Arabia in 2021 so that I can check it out too!
I do hope this year to focus on visiting the South West of Saudi; Jizan, Abha, Baha, and the Farasan Islands are on my list. I also hope this year to perhaps do some out of Kingdom road trips. However, that will depend on the ease of travel with the covid restrictions at the time.
So stay tuned to join me and my family on this year's adventures God willing.
Looks fab! What's your Instagram please?
